Lahaina and Paradise burned bacause they were tinderboxes. Any kid
playing with matches could have burned either to rubble. A dinky fire
department might have stopped one fire, but embers, or a wall of fire,
from a badly managed field or forest start too many fires to put out.

Flammable cities will eventually burn. As forests eventully burn in
most places.
