The first-ever video advertisement will be published in a traditional
paper magazine in September.

A printed magazine will have a video advertisement in September, the
first ever. The slim-line screens - around the size of a mobile phone
display - also have rechargeable batteries. The chip technology used to
store the video - described as similar to that used in singing greeting
cards - is activated when the page is turned. What's the bet someone
finds a way to hack these little gadgets into something useful.

The audio quality as heard via NPR, is terrible. But it is the first
step to Harry Potter style news papers.
