Battery powered shunters have been around since the 1930\'s. This may be the first battery powered locomotive that the China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation (CRRC) Dalian Co. Ltd has produced, but it is a me-too product.

They may have meant it was the first manufactured by CRRC, and not the first of its kind.

Seems unlikely, unless CRRC doesn\'t have any history at all.

They sell a lot to U.S. among others, with a fairly sizeable manufacturing plant in Massachusetts.

It took them nearly 20 years to compile this list. It must have been \"really, really\" important for them to produce it so speedily, or they were giving heavily invested players plenty of time to divest.
