Rabbit Proof Fence wasn't banned!
What gave you that idea?

prolly wrong movie, the movie never received classification, so the creaters
put on a screening night, in which, the DVD was pulled from tghe player
during screening by cops.

I am trying to imagine why a dingo/rabbit proof fence movie would be
banned....hmm....my imagination doesnt stretch that far.

"Ken Park" is a movie with a high sexual content, including incest,
masturbation and other assorted acts. Unless he has sex with a dingo or a
rabbit, I don't think there is a connection.

Having said that, I think David is correct since that is the only movie
recently that had that sort of think happen to it.

I thought you may have got it arse about, an in it was classified as
being banned and then played by the chick from the SBS movie show.

If it hadn't been classed, then I take it that it could be shown at
the screening night but not for general public till it had been
classed.

And as the other poster pointed out, it's not the kind of movie you
watch with the family.

Now my imagination is stretched, maybe he was having sex with a dingo or
rabbit through the fence.

Perfectly OK to watch the news with the family though, kids with their
limbs blown off, bombing of Iraqis that had no WMD... but plenty of
oil.. etc etc.

Ken Park - what a wonderful piece of cinema ! Im not surprised it was
banned here !

The start of it - a teen (Ken Park himself) goes to the skate park,
sets up a camcorder to film himself and then gets out a gun and
casually blows his brains out.

Seeing another bloke wanking while trying to hang himself by the neck
from a doorknob - and later going to his grandparents room and knifing
them both to death also adds shock horror to the movie.

Having said that, I think David is correct since that is the only movie
recently that had that sort of think happen to it.

yeah, I downloaded it, watched it lastnight. had to skip the wanking - not
what i wanna watch. with a bit of ewditing, i can't see why it can't be
released here. I thought there was a similar type of movie done in australia
re: the stolen generation or somthing like that. Could be wrong though,
thats why I asked about the rabbit / dingo fence thing.

The news is about the last thing you should watch with your kids .
