Tesla’s solar factory in Buffalo fizzles...

Less than a quarter of the plant\'s workforce is engaged in solar-related manufacturing, and work stopped completely half of last year. As a result, there\'s been none of the promised spin-off development. Story updated to include podcast.

The solar work they\'re doing is conventional solar panel construction, assembling product from imported Chinese PVs. Which is just as well because that simulated shingle kluge looks like crap.

Musk hustled Tesla investors out of billions to purchase Solar City mainly to bail out his cousins who were over a billion $ in debt. More South African freak screw-ups. Here\'s one of them:

Speaking of screwed- that would be New York taxpayers who were ripped to the tune of nearly a billion $ by this low life South African.

Just another Solyndra - libtards are tricked into forking over BILLIONS for anything that includes the words \"solar\" or \"renewable\" - it doesn\'t even have to include \"energy.\"

The bottom line is YOU CAN\'T FIX STUPID!

As Sewage Sweeper demonstrates more or less non-stop. Solyndra at least made it own solar cells - Solar Roof was buying it\'s solar cells from Panasonic until it decided that it didn\'t like their colour - which happens to be a side-effect of how they work and not negotiable. This is Sewage Sweeper level stupidity, but he hasn\'t noticed.

\"Creating jobs\" at a few megabucks each is silly too, especially when
those jobs don\'t last.

Sewage Sweeper does seem to be unsalvageable, not that anybody would bother.

John Larkin has the kind of crystal ball that lets him work out whether the jobs would last, once they were created. Mere humans aren\'t so lucky.

The original plan was for Tesla Solar to anchor the development of a new high technology manufacturing center. They must have bought into the critical mass theory of such things. Build it, and they will come, didn\'t quite work out as expected, all they attracted was a fast food slop house across the street from the factory.

It\'s like the Chinese and Saudis and whatever moron politicians
inventing cities out in the wilds as memorials to themselves. Xi has
bungled that big time, empty buildings and streets decaying.
