Hi,

I´m considering buying one of these on ebay.
These 2 products seem identical.
Does anyone know what the difference is?

Thanks

I looked through some old catalogs. In 1978 the probe was called a
P6302, in the 1983 catalog it was called an A6302. They made passive
current probes and they had a "P" prefix. I am thinking since the P6302
required an amplifier (AM503) it got changed to an A6302 somewhere
between 1978 and 1983. If that is true, then a P6302 would be older
than an A6302. Maybe Jim Yanik can clarify. Take Care, Kevin

I'm fairly sure that they just changed the designation,no electrical or
mechanical changes.(other than labelling)

I just don't know exactly WHY.

Maybe because it's an Active probe?? (SWAG)
