Who can explain the differences between these two models?

Thanks in advance.

7904A (500Mhz BW) uses newer "feed-forward" amplifier technology,is more
like the 7104 1 Ghz Bright-Eye scope but without the image-intensifier
CRT,and the chassis can be split for easier servicing like the old 7704A.

The A model replaced the older 7904.It uses the same plug-ins,same rated
specs as the non-A model 7904.

I would not be surprised to see the average 7904A vertical BW to reach 1
Ghz.

It's still chock-full of TEK-made ICs that you can no longer get.

Yes, the 7904A is very much like the 7104 except the MCP-tube. BW is
near 1 GHz, at least mine (serial 700627 Heerenveen model) makes a nice
1.07 GHZ with -3dB down.

It's still chock-full of TEK-made ICs that you can no longer get.
Oh yes, that's absolutely a must for having a spare 7904A if you want
to have these units keep working in duty ;-)
