This is about a 10 yr old unit, for some unexplained reason when I hit the
VCR1 button and turn on the VCR no sound comes out. I might add I use the
VCR as a tuner for cable TV. All the other buttons, CD, Phono, Tuner etc
they all function when you press them. This just happened suddenly. I
checked all cables. I swapped cables to see if that would work nope.

I have an EQ in this set up as well, I hooked up the VCR to the EQ directly
and I get sound.... so I know it's not the VCR. Any ideas???

Gord:
Make certain that the "vcr/tv" button on the vcr is activated in the "vcr"
position.
Also verify that you have the vcr "SAP" turned off.
