Teac EU-48T TV problem

Not sure if anyone has this particular Teac TV model or not- but I am
currently having a problem with mine.
It is a 2 and a bit year old model, and the problem I am having is the
ON-OFF switch on it.
At the moment, whenever you try to switch it on- there is no red light
on the set(normally this comes on when you first switch it on,
followed by pressing the button on the remote- it becomes a green
light and the picture happens), but I am getting nothing, no red
light-diddlly squat!!!

Is the button worn out and needs to be looked at by a TEAC(by the way
this is the 2nd time in 8 and a bit months this has happened)
techhead? Has anyone else had a similar problem to me with either this
model or another similar Teac TV?

yep, teac power switches are rubbish, just desolder it, and goto a parts
supplier, and before they even get a closer look, they'll say "ahh its a
teac"

that's what happened to me, and he told me he sells them all day everyday.
