Hi,

Some guidance please..

I have this Teac 66 cm ctv....working well, except for...

Has a loud audible hum which is real annoying. Slowly getting louder..gets
worse when there is a lot of white in the picture.

I have zero technical background, so will have to sent it off for repair.

Can anyone give me an indication of what the problem is, and expected repair
costs?

One friend has had another person tell him that is probably a 50htz hum from
the transformer.

Can anyone assist in rough repair costings or possible fault?

It is not a common fault on those sets, so it is difficult to estimate the
cost.
