My experiments with a TDA7052 produced results that were not quite what I
expected!
Initial tests were with a salvaged TDA7052A (DC controlled volume, there was
serious distortion and at around 220mA quiescent current it was casing large
voltage sag on a freshly charged NiMh PP3. Given these results I tried again
with a new TDA7052 (no DC volume control) and got similar results except for
lower gain.
The data sheet only gives a figure for quiescent current for O/C load (about
12mA) nothing quoted for loaded O/P.
Can anyone tell me if the excessively high loaded quiescent current is
normal for the TDA7052?
