Hi Guys,

How do I go about programming one of these devices ? That is if I can
buy the device anyway !

I have just finished building an eprom programmer for 27c256.

This was in an attempt to revive a few old draw poker pcbs.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards, Garry

Hi!

You need a Data I/O 29B wiuth Unipak 2B - there are other programmers
out there, but that one in particular has the widest PROM support for
the least $$$ cost - they're also virtually bombproof, just jeep going
and going!

You may have trouble getting specific manufacturers of PROMs as 95% of
them are no longer made - you can only get the equivalents of 82s181 and
82s191 new, but if you just need any 256x4 TS PROM, I can put you in
contact with someone who has IM5623s at a good price - they are pinout
equivalent, and the 29B with Unipak 2B can program them.

Yours, Mark.

I may have an 82S129 which is probably an equivalent. It's yours at no
cost ... if I can find it. I charge $5 plus postage for programming.
Contact me via email if you need my help.

Hi Gary,

I can burn you one with your supplied code for $30US including
postage.

Otherwise you need the Data I/O to do it yourself (as Mark stated). I
just happen to have that setup with blank PROMs in stock for in-shop
use.
