Is it possible to copy a tape onto a CD? I have a 4 tape set, but my
player took a dump. Can I copy these onto a CD to play on my computer?

If all you want is to play them on the computer, you might just want to
leave them on your hard drive and play them from there (although having a CD
as backup would be smart, since hard drives eventually die).
