systemc - SNPS withdrew?

Hi all,
I asked the question "Is systemc dying?" some time back and the reply I
got was "it is not!". Now I heard from a collegue that synopsys is officially
sending mails that it is withdrawing from systemc!
Is this true?

As I know, SystemC is hot in Japan, some big companies like
Sony, NEC, are using SystemC.

The Japan companies seem not to be interested in property
languages at all.
