Hello all,
recently, I have got a monitor of the type named in the subject of
this article but it has some rather uncommon, somewhat annoying
behaviour.
The picture is never synchronized, neither vertical nor horizontal, it
seems to "run through" the screen. Sometimes it can be stopped using
the front panel controls but then the contents of the picture is
always displayed more than once on the screen with some offset in
vertical and horizontal direction. Sometimes those pictures overlap
each other, too.
According to what I found on Google, that monitor is supposed to run
on a PC. There is a Sub-D-15 input at the rear of the monitor that has
exactly the VGA pinout.
Unfortunately, even with 640*480 pixels at 60 Hz refresh rate no
synchronization is possible.
Does someone know this kind of monitor (there are some people stating
that it is similar to some model from Lucky Goldstar (LG)) and know of
some typical reasons for the mentioned behaviour of the monitor? Are
there some special parts or circuitry one should take care of?
Thank you very much for any hint in advance and best regards
