I have a Samsung 12.2 inch tablet SM-P900. When
not in use I keep my tablets standing vertically
in a bookshelf.
The other day I noticed the screen of the tablet
had separated from the tablet. After disassembly
it turns out the (large) battery seems to have been
encased in a soft plastic bag instead of the normal
hard plastic case. The bags (there seems to be two)
have swollen to the extent that they have forced
the display to pop away from the rest of the tablet.
The tablet is composed the three layers, the
display, the electronics, and a back cover.
The back cover remained attached to the electronics.
Videos showing how to replace the battery for this
tablet show what appears to be a completely different
battery.
As I remember, I bought the tablet very soon after
it was initially offered by Samsung.
Does any of this sound familiar to you?
Thanks for any suggestions.
