A picture might help, let's see if this looks reasonable:
+3.3V ----/\/\/\/----- pull1
1K Ohm
0V ------------------- supply0
Imagine the "----" are wires and the "/\/\/\" are resistors.
As drawn, the voltage at pull1 is 3.3V, and the voltage
at supply0 is 0V. Now let's short these two nets together:
+3.3V ----/\/\/\/---+-- pull1
1K Ohm |
|
0V -----------------+-- supply0
Now we've merged nets pull1 and supply0. What's the voltage on
the merged net?
