Sumulink Model for - Automatic Climate Control

Hi there!

I am a student currently doing a module on Simulink and we have to
model a chosen system.

My chosen System is 'automatic climate contol' but the one on the
Simulink Demo is false and doesn't work properly! (either that or i do
not understand it)

All I need is a TF for a heater, a cooler and a thermocouple!

PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Once I have the three different TF's I will also need to put them
together to create on TF!

All I can find is worked examples for heating a stired liquid or
cooling through a readiator which is of NO use to me.

Can someone please help me!

Please e-mail me on chris@telfordrocks.co.uk if you can help!

Many thanks!

What are TF's?

A stirred tank approximation may not be far off. The tank is the air
space inside the building, the fluid is the contained air mass. The
flow through is the outside air mixed with the recirculated air. If
you want to improve it, you add the lumped storage in the solid (non
stirred) mass also contained inside the building insulation.

In all probability it is you who is at fault, not simulink. You are clearly
studying engineering, therefore have access to a wonderful resource called a
library. use it. You need to look up "system dynamics" and perhaps
"engineering science" to get an idea of how to model the system you have to
implement - for example the book "system dynamics - modelling and Response"
by E.O. Doebelin contains an entire chapter on modelling thermal systems.

Here is a novel thought: you paid for the course, so why dont you ask your
lecturer where to find out how to model your system.

Or perhaps you want me to do your homework for you. If so, It'll cost you
$140/hr, with a minimum charge-out of 4 hrs. I eagerly await your purchase
order and 20% deposit.

Cheers
Terry
