Hello all,

I'm about to ask a stupid question, please no flaming.

I have just aquired a PM3585 logic analyser from o/s, supplier stated
all hardware was included (they expressly mentioned pods, the subject of
this message)

I have open the package to find the analyser itself,
a quantity of grey cables (which go from the analyser to the pods - one
end is marked 'pod x')
a quantity of grabbers, hooked into a small grey plug with 'pod x'
marked on them

I expected to find a quantity of boxes which would interface between the
grey cables and the grey plugs/grabbers, which often got quite warm
during use. Based on previous experience I understood these boxes to be
the 'pods'.

I have found that the plug with the grabbers mates with the grey
cable, I havn't yet tried to test continuity, or to hook up a test bench
and try this combination.

So my stupid question:

have I got the 'pods' or are they missing?

Thanx in advance

Trevor.

I expect you're correct. It's a long while, but that would be my
expectation. The clips go to the pods, as these offer specific interfacing
to various processors and the like. Wow it's a moon or two, so it's all
vague, but basically, yes, you need the pods.

You may find more info re: manual and the like at this board site (or at
least some people to e-mail):

Cheers.
