Hi,
I'm a newbie to VHDL and have been given the task of controlling 2
stepper motors for a small robot. I have the use of a stepper decoder,
so I only need produce a direction and stepping pulses. Could anyone
point me in the right direction for writing an acceleration control
please? So far I have come up with the obvious solution of using a
counter to divide the clock signal and ramping up the step rate by
moving from, say, a 1/16 clock rate to 1/8, to 1/4 etc. However this
seems very rough n ready! I was wondering if there's a better
algorithm / method please? any weblinks, hints, etc would be greatly
appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
Luke
