Starting abstract generator

Dear all,
When I use lef2hld to start lef2hld, it said "DSMLM: could
not initialize lef2hld with Assura_RCX Envisia_PKS
Envisia_SE_SI_place_route Envisia_SE_ultra_place_route FE_Ultra
NanoRoute_Ultra Nano_Encounter Nano_Encounter_DBS SOC_Encounter
Silicon_Ensemble_DSM".
I don't have the tech.dpux file, then how can I initialize
and start abstract generator?

These tools are installed in my school machines, and I have no choice
but to use them. What I do not know is why I cannot initiate the
abstract generator? Is it because the tools are too old, or I don't
have the .lef file? How can I generate a .lef file without using
abstract generator?

The trouble is, these tools are so old, I can't remember how to use them, and no
longer have access to them because they've been unsupported for so long. So I
can't look it up, I can't try it, and I can't remember.

So unless you're very lucky and find somebody else with such old tools, you're
going to struggle.

There's generally a Cadence university programme in most parts of the world, and
that would normally give access to recent/current versions of the tools.
That's certainly the case in Europe with EuroPractice.
