Hi everyones...thanks to read.
I've dismantled my air conditioner to clean the inside. I've noticed that
there's a device called in the schematic "start assist (optional)". It's two
wires are parralleled to the capacitor that feeds the compressor's start
coil. The resistance of that device (when disconnected from the circuit) is
26ohms. I guess that it helps to start the compressor if the capacitor alone
is not enough to start it properly, but it's only a guess. Anyone can help
me by explaining how (and when?...) this device operates? TIA for any reply.
