star RCXT

Hello every one,

i am using synopsys star RCXT for parasitic extraction of layouts made
using cadence Virtuoso.
LVS is carried using mentors calibre and since i am invoking calibre
the final output of the star RCXT is either a spice file r DSPF file. I
now want to know if there is any way to get an extracted view ( just
like we get extracted vew in virtuoso using diva r other rules) from
DSPF.

Thnks a lot in advance

No!

Cadence is the only company I know of that creates an extracted view. (
This is dated, so does anyone else? )

Why do you need an extracted view? (to look at? )

To get an extracted view, you can write an assura (or diva) deck and
run an extract.
note that this is not guaranteed to be the same as the RCXT one!

Also, I think you end up with an intermediate stage where the LVS is
done, before the RCXT is done and
you can generate a netlist here that has no parasitics.

I'd reply the same. An extracted view is certainly good-looking, what
can you do with an extracted view that you can't do with a netlist?

If you really want one, you may import your extracted netlist into a
schematic, which is the same as an extracted view by the way.
