Hey there!

I had made myself a "lighting kit" a few years ago - but its getting old and
I need a new replacement model but I really dont have the time to design one
all over again.

Can anyone recommend a decent Stage Lighting Kit with possibly the ability
to be hooked up to a laptop PC for cues and stuff from either music or foot
pedal (as my old one was)...?

Even a point in the right direction - Ive been trolling the Silicon chip and
my old EA mags as well but nothing - also been looking at "converting" come
of the kits from Altronics or Oatly but I really havnt come up with any
ideas yet... ...any recommendation from anyone here?!

Cheers, Richard

Lookup DMX512 and DMX Dongle for one way this is done these days. This is a
serial bus with readily available software and distributed lighting
hardware. Good stuff. I've used this stuff to control the lighting for the
Myer Christmas window displays, as well as Christmas displays at the Casino.

I have used small lighting boards from this company with considerable success.
Some of the boards are fully programmable, and I believe others can be driven by
a PC... anyhow, have a look...
