I'm working on my first board using an SSOP surface
chip and having all sorts of problems with the two programs at my disposal.
Maybe this is commonplace for some software? It has the parts in library but
"good luck" using them?
My problem with both my PCB assistant and a copy of PCB123 I just
downloaded, are distorted and unaligned traces.....(regardless of my zoom).
For example, I've set the grid to .65 mm (or .0254") and
placed the SSOP package. Yet, when I try to run traces
most of them are distorted (bent), even though I'm following the snap to
grid perfectly.
Can anyone offer me any insight on this? Does the snap to grid become a
problem for some programs with these small pitch IC's?
Like I say, it's my first attempt.
Thank you.
