Spectre (samsung) monitor problem.

I have a monitor that was dropped and the swivel base broke the bottom of
the monitor case. This damaged a few traces on the circuit board which I
have repaired, and it also crushed a diode. The piece of diode I have seems
to have a 7 on it. It is in position zd1.
Any help with identifying this diode will be very much appreciated.

I don't know what model of Samsung it is, so here is the label on the tube:

I am not an electrician, I am just winging it :)

TIA

Zed,

Take a photo of the chassis (circuit board to ID the chassis
positively). There should have stickers somewhere also, take
pictures.

I think stickers is usually on either one of heatsinks and on back of
the metal tin sheet covering that rear crt board.

I work with samsung monitors routinely.

Cheers,

Wizard

Jason, thanks for the answer.

Here is the heatsink with labels:

Thanks much

Zed,

Thanks and you got my job cut out. :)

Like I said, snap a whole chassis with back cover removed.

BTW, I'm now sure this is not samsung-made monitor, whoever is maker
bought that samsung tube to go with own chassis. Frequently done.

Also FCC ID: and model number numbers will also help to narrow down to
actual original maker. Info is on the sticker on the rear of back
shell that goes onto monitor's back half.

Secondly, there is many places where you can buy a lightly used decent
17" that came off lease for less than 100. If you keep in mind to
compare for example, Samsung 750S to a IBM E74, it's same, also DELL
sold relabelled monitors by Samsung also. Test them before buying
one.

Same with off-lease 'puters, better to go to a local place where they
resell them as "side-business" to their main business of selling new
computers. Ebay I don't like this especially for off-lease computers.

Cheers,

Wizard

This is a 19" Sceptre P98v.
After looking at the back of the monitor case as Jason suggested I now
believe it is actually Compal v999, maybe :)

Just to recap I am after the identity of the diode in position zd1
