Spectre and extracted view

Spectre sims can use a spice netlist which is defined by adding a CDF
property called model and then including
it in the model list. Is it possible to something simular with the
extracted view. I would like to have library for the
extracted views and set a property on the symbol to point to it. Is
this posible?

Thanks

Not sure why you want a property to point to it. If you have an extracted view
alongside a symbol, you can switch into it either using the switch view list in
ADE, or more usually using a config view (created with the hierarchy editor) to
tell it to pick the extracted view rather than the schematic, spectre or
whatever view...

Andrew.

We would like to have a separate library for the extracted views which
is the reason for the pointer.
The users would like to keep with the view list methodology instead of
switching to a spice/model
flow. The cell is a pcell so the cell name will be the same whereas
the parameters will vary depending
on the setting. The goal is for the schematic simulator to see the
cell parasitics before the top layout is
complete kinda like a stdCell flow.

Rick,

View switching to a different library is not supported. The only supported way
to do this is to have them in the same library (same cell name).

Andrew.
