Search for "spamassassin" or "mailwasher" for info and anti-spam software.
Just entering 'what is SPAM?' on Google should give you something.

Well, they did have witch burns a few centuries ago. Perhaps it is now
our turn to have the modern equivalent: spammer burnings.

Are you still experiencing nice benevolent feelings left over from
the Christmas season? What you're proposing is much too kind to those
sleazy greedy scamming lying amoral brain-dead low-life coward vermin.
They might be useful for testing new weapons on, or putting onto a
spacecraft aimed at the sun, something like that.
