spade double adapters

Looking for some very basic double adapters for spade terminals.

Basically just a pair of male spades and a female
spade, normally all brass, no insulation at all.

No sign of them in the dick smith, jaycar or altronics catalogs.
None at SuperCheap Auto either.

** Farnell in One have them - in spades, naturally .

Being a bunch of pommie wankers they never call a spade a spade.

** You want them naked - for breeding purposes no doubt.

** What you need is a 362 - 5497 ( 2.5mm cable) or 362 -5485 ( 1mm
cable) tinned brass " Piggy Back Push On Terminal". Stupid pommie name
if you ever heard one - right ?

"Piggy Back " says it all - really.

Desperate limeys are all obsessed with buggery.

Yeah, beats buying lots.

Nar, those arent what I want. That style is
widely available, even at SuperCheap Auto.

I want the adapters that are literally just a pair of male
spades and a female spade but no wire connection at all.
Utilux part# H942 (in-line) or H942A (female at rt-angles to the two
males - sounds decidedly kinky). Can send u a small .jpg if it helps.

Unfortunately, since Tyco took over Utilux, I wouldn't fancy your
chances of even getting any sense out of the Tyco Oz operation. I've
been trying for over a week on the dog'n'bone regarding some
"standard" types, and still no joy.

Try their 1800 008 926 - at least it's their dough being wasted.

Like http://www1.concord-elex.com/cgi-bin/part0.cgi?pg=252:242&pi=1876
but the ones I have used in the past have the 2 male
spades in a U instead of side by side like with that one.
I dont really care which version tho.

Pretty sure the ones I have used in the past were likely Utilux.

Havent had a chance to try Repco yet.

Stupid pommie name if you ever heard one - right ?

True.

"Piggy Back " says it all - really.

Desperate limeys are all obsessed with buggery.

Almost as bad as the greeks.

I couldn't agree more - I spent ten minutes talking to them about crimping
tools - they did not even seem to know what they sold and what they
didn't................

Rod, Utilux (Tyco) H1913 is the closest they make to the one shown on
your link. The male spades are horizontal either side of the female as
opposed to vertical.

Thanks for that, I did have a prowl around the Tyco
site myself, but gave up its so badly organised.

That'd do fine. I can alway bend the male spades
into a U in a vice if its too wide in a particular situation.

Still havent tried Repco, likely will today.

Using the link and budgie's H942 to produce
http://www.tycoelectronics.com.au/__data/page/1022/00942.pdf
got the one I had in mind originally, what I have used in the past.

Looks like its just a formed variant of the H1913

Budgie says that the H942A is also available,
but couldnt guess the name of the pdf. Tried
http://www.tycoelectronics.com.au/__data/page/1022/00942a.pdf

Still havent tried Repco, likely will today.

Bingo. Tho it was a near thing, the manager didnt realise
they had them, found them after looking up the catalog.

Hellas rather than Utilux.

I started by plugging "tyco terminals" in Google and the first response
led to http://www.tycoelectronics.com.au/brands/utilux/products/indprod

I chose the 6.3mm QC Adaptors item and then for some reason the 942
drawing on the first line didn't download so I went down and tried the
1913 and this came through. Since it was similar to what you wanted I
didn't try the 942 again. If I had then I would have got the right
answer...

I can't assist in who might supply this item but you may be able to
find out something from the Tyco person specialising in the old Utilux
products... if he is still employed that is. Even if they can help you
will most likely have to buy at least one box.

Yeah, turns out that Repco had some of the Hella version, which
I bought. A mate of mine suggested another operation that he
gets their obscure electrical stuff from, didnt need to try that.

Thanks for that.
