My trusty Weller soldering station died wtih an open heater. Is there
any low cost source for a replacement. Google comes up with a job lot
of 89 of them or something but I only need 1.

Thanks.

Hang out on Ebay until one comes up. That's the old Non plug in style with
bare wires? I bought a few off of ebay last year to keep my old ones going.
Either that, or get a newer style wand with the plug in element and retrofit it

to your base unit.

I was sure I found it, price was $94 something, but it was the same site
that wanted to sell quantity only.

If you dig into Google's results a bit, someone asked about them. Further
into, someone mentioned Wassco. Here's the link:

Hope that helps,

Yeah, I was looking on eBay. Might be able to pick up an entire soldering
station for less than the cost of a new heater..

Thanks.

If it's the: TC208 Heater Assy. (Non-Plug Type) WAS-02-18802 $22.95,
that's not so bad.

Thanks.
