Source for spring contact material?

I am chasing some beryllium copper or similar material to make up some
small leaf contacts. These need to be ~12mm long and probably ~2.5mm
wide.

Does anyone know where material suitable for this type of task can be
sourced in Oz - and preferably in sensibly small quantities?

Probably most types of microswitch.

Didn't Rockby have this material available as strips of fingerstock?
The sort of stuff used for EMI work and RF valve anode connections.

Farnell do some Be/Cu EMI finger strip that you is probably big enough to
cut what you want from.

I used a large Bery-Cu washer (~ an M10 size) and cut it down to size...

I just pulled apart a junked HP Laser 4si printer and there is a fair bit of
what I assume you are after inside. One strip I have has 13 fingers about
20mmx10mm. Would you like it?
Is this enough?

If so send me your address and I can post it out.

Regards
Russell
