Does anyone know how to set the time on a Soundesign clock radio. It is
model #7580ciy. It has a telephone with it and a single cassette deck. I
have pressed the set time button and then the hour button, (same with the
minute button) and the hour time will not change nor minute time. It is a
digital time readout and probably from the 80s. The am/fm works on it and
the cassette and phone.

You have to press the time set button and the hour or minute button at the
same time.

Did you try holding the Set buttin in while pressing hour/minute?

That's what I just said. You stole my post. I sure hope you have a good
lawyer because you're going to need one.
A definite lawsuit and possibly a prison sentence, too.

No dipshits, the problems lies in the fact that the back battery needs to be
replaced. The O.P. should put in another 9 volt battery, they are usually
found in side the smoke detector.

It's the conductive rubber switches. Clean them according to the
instructions in Sam Goldwasser's FAQ.

I have a different model from them, but when it was a few years old I
mounted real switches in it where the contact pads used to be. Maybe more
extreme than what you need to do, but it's worked for me for over 20 years.
