We are having trouble identifying a SMD device.

The part is a small 6 pin IC with a large 5X and a small 2.5

If anyone can help and correctly identify the part we will send a check for
$100 for all your assistance.

Thanks,

Rob Hickman

2.5V fixed output switchmode regulator?

Nope,

It is a 6 pin device that buffers? 5v logic signals. It is connected to 2
inputs and has 2 outputs.

In that case, I'd revise my guess to optocoupler.

The silence is deafening. Just buy a cyber-keg with that $100 and pour each
of my NG buddies a tall one.

I thought this was it but the pin connection s dont match.

Here is a Photo: http://www.advanced-control-systems.com/5X Part.jpg

The part in the photo has a dot marking pin 1 at the normal pin 6 posn?

The outputs of the part should be at the dot and on the Opposite corner.

What manufacturer has pin 1 at this location?

Rob

I have seen RF parts marked in this manner such as the LRPS-2-1J from
Minicircuits. The dot in your photo could also be pin 3. The hunt
continues....

Ray
