I have a Sony 27" TV. Wood cabinet, stereo or ? cabinet below etc...

It HAD a perfect picture and sound etc. Then made a fizzzzz noise and
turned off and won't come on again. I can't see anything fried and have been
told that two power transistors are the usual cause.

However, I have not been able to find a circuit diagram on the net. Tried
dozens of links. Sams cost $35. and the transistors ($5 worth) cost about
$35 from a local repair shop. I doubt the set is worth $75.00 if I sell it
so...

If you want a set for $10.00 and live near Carlsbad CA then give me the $10
and come pick it up.

I doubt anyone will pay you for a "broken" television..... maybe you should
offer someone $10 (or more) to dispose of it for you ????

Over here we have to pay a tax to dispose of TV sets, and unusable
electronics. I doubt anyone would pay for a busted TV set!
