Sony tv audio part needed ( SBX-1637-11 ) ???

i've got a 27" sony tv with audio problems. After searching the
net it looks like part # SBX-1637-11 needs to be replaced.

What i want to know is what vcr's(model # needed) will also have this
part inside them?

I'm asking this because i have access to alot of broken vcr's but
not broken tv's.

No VCRs used this part. It was used in Sony and Toshiba Tvs. The part can be
bought for about $10.

Even if you find a used part, it'll be bad or will fail soon. The surface
mount caps are like time bombs and fail like clockwork after about 5 years
regardless of use. A new is only about $7 though, I've replaced a number of
them.

There is a post which i found where someone mentioned the part being in
a slv-690hf vcr.

Yes there are used in some VCR,s also Goldstar TV,s
and I have also changed some in older Samsung,s.

Don't waste your time with used parts on this one. Replacements are easily
available for under $10.

Goldstar vcrs used this part. The modules also failed at about the
same time as the tv ones did. Chuck
