Sony Single Disc CDX-3500 Car Stereo Fault

Hi all,

I have a Sony in-dash car cd player (model CDX-3500) that has suddenly
developed a problem.

The cd will play fine for awhile but then suddenly pause and then display
E-04.

Does anyone know what this error code means?

Hello,

I beleive it means "Unable to focus or read disc" - maybe it needs a clean?
