anyone know where i can source spare parts for a sony ps2? got one with a
broken eject mechanism on the dvd drive & need a couple of parts for it (if
they are available at all...)

Sony wont supply parts unless you have an account with them...at least thats
the way it used to be. Speedy Spares are still an agent for them i believe.

Try advanced search and add ".au" to the limit by domain.

Will skip those australian sites that are .com only, but its a start.

No parts to anyone...
Agents or others...
and the Accc don't care...

I think the rates are $99 for PS1 and $120 for PS2, regardless of what's
wrong..

yep, just followed it up by phoining sony - no parts to anyone, all return
to base for repair. bugger, it would have been a nice quick fix too..

something like that, & if the unit has been chipped, or the chip has been
removed, they charge $270

speedy spares can't supply ps2 parts, they gave me the number to ring -
1300 365 911
