Sony Model KV27TX20 strange fault..

Model KV27TX20
1989 YR

Upon switching this TV on the Volume it at Max
you then turn down the volume everything is OK
till you change channel then the volume is again at Max.
I suspect the Micro IC101 the customer also said
that after turning off the TV then turning it back
on again the next day the set comes on at CH6
and not the previously watched channel.
I have inspected all solder connections and resoldered
both IF mods.( 2 tuners 2 IF Mods )
Any suggestions from the group before I try and locate IC101.

Either that or an EPROM issue.......let us know what you find

This model do not have the Eprom Jeff
I searched the chassis looking for one
as that was my first suspect.(Unless its hidden)
I know the Micro is NLA from Sony
still waiting to hear back from them
with the Number as its possible I might
have one in my collection of Sony Micro,s.
I would really hate this one going to the
Trash bin as the Picture is perfect and so
is the cabinet...Pitty
