Sony mini-set PMC-DR45L line out questions

I have a question about " line out " output .....................

This little unit has a front " line-out " , and a " l/r line out " on the
back.

The back connectores are used to connect the control-part to the
amplifier-part of this mini set ( thus connecting the 2 units together , the
amplifier is mounted in the second unit ) .

What i would like to have ( wishes ) is a second set of line-out connectors
to give this little unit the possibility to use it with a second-set of
powered speakers.

The real question is ;

-- Will it be possible to mount a second set of line-out connectors to the
excisting set on the back , ( and how ).

-- Second question , will the front mounted line-out cut-off the speakers
which are IN the unit ?? so this will be for the readers which own a unit
like this .

Probably the easiest thing to do would be to get a set of Y cables and
connect them to the back line output and the two inputs you need to
drive. Connecting one line-level output to two inputs is not a problem
at all. (Connecting two outputs to one input is a poor idea, on the
other hand.)

the other option i was thinking about ; car hifi high=> low converter

would that have been an option ???

If connected to the line output, the car converter would not work very
well and possibly not at all. If connected in place of the existing
speakers, it ought to work, but the Y cable on the line output will give
better sound quality and should cost a bit less, too.

I believe those adapter boxes are little more than a little resistive
divider network designed to present a (relatively) low impedance to the
power amplifier output and reduce the voltage to approximately the usual
line input voltage. I would imagine a large power amplifier could
pretty easily burn one out if driven hard, but I wouldn't expect that to
be a problem with a typical small bookshelf stereo system.
