Sony laptop battery pins

Does any one here know (or, know where I can retrieve) the specs. for the
output pins on an old Sony Vaio laptop battery (model pcga-bpz5(1,2))?
(Tried the ways I know, and found nothing)

This battery will be used to power the logic and mechanics of an
autonomous project I'm working on.

I am reluctant to touch the leads of my multi-meter to the pins for fear
of what I may do to it. (unreasonable?) There are eight pins.

The battery should have both 5v and 12v outs: it seems a perfect way to run
something that might take far less current than a laptop does.

Sorry, but the battery is 14.8 volts. The 5 volt and 12 volt feeds for the
laptop are provided by power conditioning circuitry in the laptop.

Hi thanks for responding, I can take care of the voltage myself, I /do/
need to know the pinouts and their use/meaning if I am to proceed.

I found a lot of links to offers to sell the battery, just none explaining
the interface. At worst, the batteries can be torn out of this packaging
and placed in a custom housing with it's own simple recharging circuit.
I'd rather not do this, though (it's so nicely packaged already, and still
useable on my laptop).
