Sony KV-F29SZ2

Hi,
A friends' Sony KV-F29SZ2 has an unusual fault for a
TV with a Trinitron type tube.
The convergence is terrible for the top 1/4 of the screen,
mainly out horizontally.
There was a minor purity error which was fixed by a
slight re-positioning of the yoke.
None of the convergence or purity magnets has moved
from their original positions.
The de-gaussing coil is working OK and whether the
sub-woofer is 'docked' in its normal position on top of the
TV or is removed makes no difference-as it shouldn't.
As a Trinitron does not normally need adjustment in
that area, especially the middle of the top-so none is
provided, I'm wondering if anyone has an idea what the
problem may be & possibly a solution?

Regards,
Mark.

PS,
Rocking the yoke up & down can adjust top &
bottom middle convergence. This was tried when the
purity was tweaked.
The only effect was to put the bottom out & not benefit
the top at all.
This convergence fault effects the top ONLY. There is
not the provision of a dynamic convergence adjustment
for just the top as there was/is for some of the other types
of tubes.

Mark.
