Sony KV F29 29" TV. G3F chassis

Works fine for about 2 minutes and then just shuts off.

Apparently a common fault with this model, as this is the third person I
know who has had one of these units with the same fault. I can't seem to
find anything about this model on the internet.

Can anyone shed some light on the situation, or is it a job I should not
bother with.

Unless you have access to Sony's tech site or their call in facility you may
want to refer set to a Sony Servicer.
