Sony EDV-7500 video heads

Can anyone tell me the Sony part number for the video heads for a Sony
EDV-7500/7300? Does anyone know of a generic replacement available
for theis VCR. It's a 2 head with flying erase head VCR.

The only recommendation would be to check with Sony directly. Heads for your
particular deck are designed to work with metal tape in addition to regular
oxide tape fitted on a Betamax head disc. Since ED-Beta did not stay in the
scene for very long, parts unique to the EDV decks are hard to locate indeed.

Video heads for ED-Beta decks, as well as Betamax machines that use the PRO-4
video heads, are very difficult to find. There are no aftermarket source for
these heads and Sony replacements command a high premium assuming they are
available to begin with. - Reinhart
