I have a Sony E-350 portable cd player that won't play. Unit is two
years old. I think the disc won't spin up, because the disc is always
in the same place when opening the door. I can hear motors, I'm
thinking that it probably the laser assembly moving around.
Do these units have belts, or are portables direct drive? Are the
motors known to burn out on portables?
