Greetings,
My handycam has developed a playback problems...hoping to find help here.
When looking at tapes made on this recorder, it seemed to hesitate (motion
and sound stopped) for a split second. This happens every couple of seconds
and sometimes the picture is pixelated. I cannot tell that the tape itself
has stopped as it moves really slow anyway. Anyone been through this
before? I tried running a tape head cleaner through it but that didn't
help. Thanks for any help you can give.....Scott

This may be warn parts, such as any belts, pinch roller, warn guides, and
possibly even a warn head. This is not something you will be able to
service yourself unless you are properly trained, have the service manual,
and the proper set-up to troubleshoot and do the alignments. I would
suggest giving the unit out to have it properly serviced by a service centre
that does these all the time. We found that when the customer goes in to
these himself, the repairs are usually more expensive, and mostly not
feasible afterwards.
