Sony CPD-G400 monitor not working

Hi,

I have a Sony CPD-G400 that wont come out of standby mode. I gave the repair
shop a copy of the Service manual; they are saying the processor has got
inputs but its not doing anything. The monitor is out of warranty, and Sony
isn't selling spares for it here in Australia.

I'm really keen to resurrect it, as it gives a beautiful picture.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Unfortunately, that seems to be correct. However, I was trying to get out

the the throw-away society and retain the valuable asset that I paid good
money for.

Just for the record, Sony Australia don't actually carry spare parts. Most
Sony parts can be obtained through Speedy Spares Pty. Ltd. in Melbourne.
