Anyone have experience with and/or schematic for this camcorder charger?
Customer came in complaining that camcorder does not work. The real problem
was that output from the charger is around 5.5 V DC. This varies with line
voltage i.e. it's not regulating despite the SMPS design. The output for is
supposed to be at least 7.5 V.
I've static checked most of the components and all but one appear to be
good. It's a surface mount diode that appears to be open. The marking is
AS6. It's on the sub-board (ninety degrees to the main board) that does not
have any component ID's.
I'm wondering if this diode would affect the SMPS operation as observed.
Also, any idea of a correct sub?
