Solenoid Control

Not sure if this is the corect NG to ask.....please advise if not.

I have 6 x water solenoids.
I want to use a 7th to supply the water to a tank that will feed the 6
outputs.
The supply solenoid will need to open for say ~10-12 mins. for each of the
output solenoids which will be open for 2 hrs.

Opening the 6 outlets is done by an irrigation controller.

I'm thinking of hooking the 7th to all of the other 6 solenoids.
that way the 7th will be open when they are......BUT
I want to turn off the 7th after 10 mins of tank filling.
Once off, it will be switched on when the next (out of the 6) is opened.
again only for another ~10-12 mins.

I'm thinking that some sort of 555 circuit in a water proof package would do
the job.
Basically the 14vAC on solenoids 1 thru 6, would trigger a timed period
during the timed period, power is supplied to the 7th solenoid which opens..

After the 10-12min period the 7th solinoid is turned off, and the the
circuit is reset.

Sounds simple to me, but then again, I can only just tell the difference
between a
resistor & a capacitor!...and my soldering is not much better!.

Any ideas / info on a KISS circuit, that would allow me to wire together a
couple of components
(preferably without a circuit board) that would do the job, would be
appreciated.

BTW if the 10-12mins was ajustable over a small range eg 6-15 mins, that
would be great
but I think having it "adjustable" might compromise the waterproof
capability of this
outdoor item.

Many thx in advance for any ideas.

Fredbear,
This may do the trick for you.

or maybe just a straight timer relay like this.

cant get much simpler than this.

a tank...
Given any cosideration to a fail-safe mechanism?
Can your environment withstand an overflow?
Fill systems usually use a float switch.
