Someone has suggested its a variant of the Colpitts - when I get time I can
follow that up and see what I can find.

It's a blocking oscillator.

It's a blocking oscillator.

The 2 inductors aren't mutual, there's one small and one a bit bigger of
those chokes disguised as resistors.
