The following companies are manufacturing solar cells in India and if
anybody wants to have any single or bulk requirements they can contact
them. I have carried out a simple solar charger and emergency light
using solar panel, charger, battery and LED lighting.
This is a simple system just for convincing our MD about the solar
panel and its capacity to charge a battery and charge a battery. The
battery in turn was connected to a lighting system with 24 LEDs to
provide automatic lighting when the AC mains supply fails. LEDs were
used as it consumes very less power and has infinite life. The charger
had a parallel charging from the mains in case there was no light or
for cloudy days.
The following companies produce Photo voltaic panels. I bought my
panels from Bharat Electronics Ltd. So anybody is interested to
assemble a solar cell system they can procure the panel from any of
these vendors. There may be more but I have only these names.
